About

See the barrel for the staves. At Nine on the Vine, we design and build home decor made from barrels sourced from California’s wine country. We seek to breathe new life into these old reclaimed wine barrel staves by producing pieces that capture the rustic elegance of Northern California, with a hint of Minnesota influence. The creations pair well with the cabin or the home. From various wine racks, coat hooks and candle holders to holiday decorations and wall mounted bottle openers, there is something for every wine enthusiast. Check back often as the product line is always evolving and growing.

Inspiration for Nine on the Vine spurred from a Valentine’s weekend in Wine Country’s Sonoma Valley. The artists, Dave and Dana, were so enchanted by the green rolling hills and the charming vineyard vibe, they were inspired to bring a piece of the experience back to their home in Minneapolis.

Dana was a furniture design major at the University of Notre Dame and after years of working in the corporate world, she is excited to reach back to her woodworking roots and deliver pieces that represent the beauty and vibe of California’s wine country.

Dave is an avid outdoorsman who grew up in Northern Minnesota’s lake country and spent his college years on the shores of Lake Superior at UMD. Dave appreciates the contrast to his work life in the financial industry and draws upon his Up North heritage to add a flavor of lake country cabin influence.
